Shopping & Eating out to raise PTA Funds

Help raise money the easy way. Here's how:

1. Bonus card program from Giant, Safeway, Old Navy, Macy's  - Use your Giant and Safeway bonus card when buying groceries and our school receives much needed supplies. Go to the Giant Web site to designate Wood Middle School (you can designate as many as three schools.) No more receipt counting! Visit the Giant web site, click on A+ BonusBucks to register our school (the school ID is 00736). Register your other cards (Safeway, Macy's, Old Navy...) on eScrip.

2. Campbell's Labels for Education - Save labels from Campbell's, Franco-American, Prego, Swanson and V8 and send them to school. This program allows us to buy a few "extras" for our school. We collect labels through May (including any saved since last year - they don't expire!). Please go to www.labelsforeducation.com for more information.

Boxtops3. Box Tops for Education - Collect your labels and box tops and send them in every few weeks so as not to inundate our counters at the end. There are collection boxes for the box top and labels programs in the main office. We also encourage you to ask friends, relatives and co-workers to save them as well. View the list of all products that are eligible (in PDF format) - many on the list accept UPC codes like Pepperidge Farm Goldfish and cookies. You can also go to www.boxtops4education.com for more information.

4. Schoolcash.com - On-line shopping at schoolcash.com and earn cash for our Schoolcash.comschool. On-line sites which participate in this program number in the 100's and include Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Priceline.com, CVS, JC Penney, Petsmart, Sharper Image - the list goes on and on. Wood M.S. number is #00458952.

5. Scholastic Book Fair - usually we have two book fairs, one in the fall and one in the spring in the school's Media Center. Students will receive a Book Wish List and parents are encouraged to shop during school hours and at specially announced evening hours. Stock up on some books for your child's independent reading requirements or the summer reading list.

6. Great American Fundraising (formal Kathryn Beich products) - usually starts in November/December, just in time for the holiday season. Order on-line at http://gafundraising.com, School register #: 1695561
FYI, even if the fundraising event is finished, you can always order items from the Kathryn Beich website and they will donate the designated percent to your school. Wood will receive up to 50% of the proceeds from the sales!

7. Restaurant Night Out - Eat at the right place at the right time and a percentage will be donated to Wood. Check your E-Wood emails or the Wood Word newsletter for announcements!
